You may recommend grants to any IRS-qualified public charity. Grant recommendations are reviewed by staff members who verify that the charity is allowed to receive grants from a donor-advised fund as allowed by law, that the grant is for charitable purposes, and that all other grant guidelines have been met. Most grants are generally processed within 5 business days. You will be contacted by our staff if a delay in processing is anticipated.
Upon approval, the Jewish Communal Fund issues a check to the charity indicating that the donation was made at your recommendation from your fund. You may also request to have grants issued anonymously.
