 How your contributions are invested

The Jewish Communal Fund offers 20 investment portfolios consisting of:

  • a money market fund
  • a fixed income fund
  • numerous managed equity and equity-indexed mutual funds
  • several privately managed investment accounts

You may request an asset allocation for your fund and change that allocation at any time up to four times per calendar year.  You may elect to have the assets in your fund rebalanced monthly to maintain a fixed asset allocation or, in the alternative, you may submit an investment recommendation for each contribution that you make to your fund.

The assets in your fund grow tax-free; both principal and appreciation are available for grantmaking.
