In 2005, the Jewish Communal Fund approved a $300,000 grant, payable over 3 years, to CLIP to bring stipends up to market levels and move the program towards financial sustainability.

CLIP – short for Collegiate Leadership Internship Program – matches students with meaningful internships at a variety of for-profit and not-for-profit businesses throughout the city.  The goals of the program are to help undergraduates develop practical work and leadership skills, to promote religious pluralism, and to acquaint students with the organized Jewish community.

"What distinguishes CLIP from other internship programs is its emphasis on Jewish individual and community identity," explains Adena Kirstein, CLIP’s coordinator. The program includes four days each week in a supervised internship and one day each week of Jewish enrichment and leadership seminars.

CLIP also receives support from the Jewish Foundation for the Education of Women and has strong partnerships with Hillel, UJA-Federation of NY, and F.E.G.S.
