ADMINISTRATIVE SERVICES

The Jewish Communal Fund simplifies charitable giving by providing administrative services that make it easy for you to pursue your philanthropic objectives. These include:

ONLINE ACCESS TO YOUR FUND. Visit our web site at www.jewishcommunalfund.org to view fund balances, contributions, grant activity, and asset allocations; recommend grants; and download the forms you need to make contributions, reallocate assets, change fund participants, or request a succession plan.

CONTRIBUTION RECEIPT. Upon accepting your gift, the Jewish Communal Fund will send you a letter acknowledging your contribution. This letter serves as a receipt for tax purposes as required by the IRS. Please note that this letter does not supply a contribution value. Valuation of gifts and the appropriate level of deductibility of contributions are the responsibility of the donor. Pursuant to tax code regulations, with respect to certain gifts in excess of certain amounts, the donor may be required to obtain and attach an appraisal to the donor's tax return. You should consult your tax advisor for more information.

PROCEEDS LETTER. Each time you make a non-cash contribution to your fund (e.g., securities, bonds, mutual fund shares), you will receive a letter advising you of the net proceeds credited to your fund (i.e., sale proceeds less brokerage commissions). This amount does not represent the value of the tax deduction to which you may be entitled.

QUARTERLY STATEMENTS. Each quarter you will receive a complete report of all transactions in your fund. This includes opening and ending fund balances, total return on investments, contributions, grants, and operating charges. These statements are also available on our secure website.

GRANT STATEMENTS. Paper statements listing the grants issued from your fund are mailed biweekly.

ANNUAL REPORT. The Jewish Communal Fund issues an Annual Report to fundholders at the end of each fiscal year.

EDUCATIONAL MATERIALS AND EVENTS. From time to time, the Jewish Communal Fund hosts workshops and seminars covering topics relevant to our donors. We invite you to attend these events and encourage you to bring friends and family with you.
